Hi!
I @’d you on my twitter page. I don’t know what that does but it sure doesn’t brand your twitter page like a wallpost does on facebook. I’m disappointed.
Best of luck you two! I’m reading fast and furious. PS Alex I feel like I know you from you’re writing… I hope that makes you feel exposed. Mer, tell Alex that I think we would laugh a lot together. Hi Mer! Hi to Mer’s mom!
Hey Alex and Meredith! This is Daniel, we met at Ivars one saturday morning during our homecoming. Keep up the amazing things you guys are doing! It seems as if your adventure has gone off on a great start!
best wishes
I heard your interview on CBC Radio a few minutes ago – this is what Canada is all about and I’m envious that you have learnt to podcast before I have! Safe rides and come back fulfilled you two.
Ron
My sister’s boyfriend in Victoria (a bike enthusiast and biking safety instructor) emailed me (ex-Canuck in Los Angeles) about your trip. I am guessing you will want to stay on the coast while cycling thru LA area. The traffic here is dangerous for bicyclists. Also, Mexico is getting more and more dangerous. You may want to check with some experts before cycling thru.
It was great to meet you guys on the Huntington Beach State Park trail. As you travel, allow yourself to enjoy every minute, even the unenjoyable ones. Remember, anything that doesn’t kill us, only makes us stronger. Good luck and take care of yourselves and each other.
It was fun to meet you in San Diego on North Torrey Pines Road a few days ago! Too bad you encountered one of our rare rainstorms, but it looked as if you were still having lots of fun. Did you find a good route to the Mexican border? We would have loved to have you stay with us a day or two but someone else offered first.
Save travels, tailwinds and downhills.
Ken, the cycle touring guy who waved you down from the side of the road.
Hi there…
AWESOME adventure idea! Perhaps I could update folks in future newsletters for my site…www.ecoadventurezone.com. By the way, my passions include playing ukulele, and kayak camping. Too bad I couldn’t have ridden along with you two…but my kids need a mom around these days! I am thinking about a trek to Everest Base Camp next Fall, however. Best of luck to you both!
